Quantum Computing vs Nano Computing
Disadvantages of Quantum Computing
Nano Computing
What does it mean to our future?
The technology needed to build a quantum computer is currently beyond our reach. Therefore it will cost masses amounts of money to research this technology.
Advantages of Quantum Computing
Quantum computers can use the algorithms we use today, but Micro Computers can do that already. However Quantum Computers can use new algorithms that are being developed whereas the Micro Computers can not.
Nano Computers are becoming more popular and are not far off them becoming used a lot more.
People are working towards making Nano Computers used more for programming because this means that they can execute programs faster.
Disadvantages of Nano Computing
Quantum Computers
What does it mean to our future?
When it comes to Nano Computing people are concerned about it being used to invade peoples privacy. People can use Nano sized microphones or cameras to get information.
Quantum computers are quite far off them being used regularly. This is because they are expensive to create and research. We shouldn't expect these to around soon, as they are still in early development.

Advantages of Nano Computing
The main difference between Nano Computing and Micro Computing is mainly the scale. More and more transistor s are squeezed into silicon chips.
Quantum computers could one day replace silicon chips. The most advanced quantum computers have not gone beyond manipulating more than 16 qubits.
There are many advantages when it comes to using Nano Computing over Micro Computing. One being the efficiency, Nano Computers create less waste heat energy than Micro Computers. So switching to Nano Computers will have a good effect on the carbon footprint.
